Decisions lasting for years...

I haven't updated this thing in a while...

Well, lots of things have happened since the last time I typed in this thing.

1. I'm seriously thinking about putting my intent in a certain household.
a. for those of you who actually read this thing, a household is similar to that of a sorority/frat except it's centered around God, not parties and booze.
2. Jarom came home from his mission
3. Midterms are ALMOST over.
4. I went on an AMAZING camping retreat called breakout.
a. 3-hour eucharistic adoration
b. Confession in a kitchen with a priest from South America.
c. Waking up next to a campfire with a man of God singing beautiful praise and worship songs.
d. Eating spaghetti w/o utensils
e. birthday cake and machetti's--- haha.
5. Learning TONS of new things.
6. Perhaps a future mission trip to Russia and Honduras... and maaaaybeee jamaica.
7. I'm going to another retreat for my 21st birthday
a. I found out my 21st b-day was on a Saturday (how perfect right?!) I thought I'd for sure get piss drunk and dance on tables with a lampshade on my head... PRAISE HIM that I have changed my life for something more fulfilling. Instead of getting drunk off alcohol, i'll be getting drunk off the holy Spirit.

So i've continually learned a lot about life and living. Things have changed back home. I have a new found appreciation for certain things. I'm learning-- painstakingly learning to stop being a butthead and stop judging people but rather, trying to see them as God sees them-- something i NEED grace to do.

On a diff. note, there's this guy that i see around campus a lot.. esp. when i'm at Mass or praying at the Port, well we finally officially met.. he's a cute guy. I'm pretty interested in getting to know him better. He's younger though... which normally wigs me out but he doesn't look young and from what i do know, he doesn't act like a little boy, so that's chill.

I'm going to spanish Mass with my best-- natalie tonight. There's going to be Mexican food being served after so i'm excited about that... esp since i need to catch my weight back up (I Lost 3 freaking pounds.. aghgh!!!)... I know i shouldn't be unappreciative about the food at the caf... but dude, it's gross. I seriously lose whatever appetite I had prior to walking into the caf. This fellow Cali kid named Kevin noticed that everytime he'd seen me this week, i'd been eating fast food. It's true. I don't eat much for dinner and then i am starving around 10pm.. so food runs were in order.

Anyway, i'm gonna study for mariology.. maybe read some of the theology of the body..

*In Him,
Cheryl
