Just a small rant. Consider this a public service announcement, so I don't have to beat anyone about the head and neck with a blunt object for saying stupid things to me.
Do not tell me that you can tell I've gained weight, even if it's followed by 'you look so much better now'.
Do not tell me that I look healthy, because I've gained weight.
Do not tell me that I just look 'more substantial now'.
Do not tell me that I USED TO BE skinny.
I know people mean well, and maybe they really think they're being complimentary or something, but just...no. I find it incredibly rude to tell someone that you can tell that they're fatter, even if it's meant as a positive thing. I'm perfectly aware that I've gained weight, I'm not very comfortable with it, and everyone else mentioning it all the damn time just calls attention to it and makes me want to scream. For some reason I've been getting a slew of comments like this lately (most of them completely unprovoked, or having nothing to do with the current conversation), and if I hear anything like this again, I'm likely to become violent.
For your own safety, keep it to yourself. That is all and have a lovely day ;)
