Happy Birthday To Me!

Mar 12, 2003 22:26

Yesterday was my birthday. It was rather quiet, as birthdays go. I stared at my math book a bit, read a nifty book (not the sixth book in the series, by the way, or the third, or whatever you said it was, single anticipated reader. It appears to be the first book in the series, although something like ninth in that universe. Such joy, now I must find and read the rest of them. Hope you're enjoying your book as much as I did. Now YOU must find and read the other books in the series. Mwahahahahahahaha!!!)
Ahem. As I was saying before so rudely inturrupted by that tangnt, I read a nifty book, went to ASL class, heard a funny joke, sat outside Mom's class for two hours or so (which is also when I wrote the previous entries, although I have not been able to update them until now (only a day later (curse you Internet! You have forsaken my house! Why? Why why why? (hmm... maybe the unayed bill dated Febuary 16th? (quiet you. (Ahh! Parenthises! (Inside other Parenthies!) Noooooo! Evil! DIE!!!))))
Woah... dizzy... um, where was I?
My actual birthday party was in combination with my Grandmother's party (her birthday was on the third (*eyes parenthies nervously*)). On saturday Mom and I drove down to my friend's house (perhaps I'll refer to you as Tanis...) where Friend's Mom was having her monthly potluck. We got there late (What else is new?), and Friend and I hung out together. I gave him his birthday present (his birthday is on the first), we crashed for the night, and in the morning he gave me my birthday presents (nifty cat poster (I unrolled it, thinking of putting it on the door, and boy were there a lot of cats on it... it's almost an overload of cuteness. You could turn that poster into a lethal weapon. ^_^) and nifty book of doom (which is a change from evil books of doom, I supose), which is now poking me to go buy the sequal (which would make it evil, but it's such a nifty book) (hmmm... *counts parenthies* darnit... I lost track of where I was.)), and Mom and I headed to Grandma's house, where I accquired no less than four drawing books (all different), one sketch pad, a large number of drawing pencils, and a large wooden manakin (er, somewhat large, somewhere between a foot and two feet in height.. estimating measurements (Especially in feet) is not my strong suit (I only finally learned a few years ago how many inches are in a foot...)), which was rather nifty. And two checks, which together came to $100.
Yesterday, as we were driving to my ASL class, Mom handed me a letter (I have no idea why she checks the mail as we leave) from Dad. I opened it and inside was a birthday card! Pretty good timing, huh. :) Inside the card was a fifty doller check. Even niftier.
Today, I plan to go to this place called "The Terminal" which is a... hmm... donno what they're called... a big dark room with lots and lots of fast computers loaded with games all connected to each other. Network cafe? But that implies starbucks with computers. This place is not that. Gaming cafe? Agh... no more cafes...
They had their grand opening on Friday, and it's free until this friday. Must go now... have to go play computer games...

random, games
