Yesterday I took my little brother and 2 of his friends to go see Iron Man 2. We went to the first showing of the day (yay for saving money) at the local Cinemark theatre and we go there like 20-25 mins before the start time. I figured we would beat at least half ot the crowd to find a decent seat.
Boy was I wrong.
The theatre was already 75% full. We probably got one of the last groupings of 4 in the theatre (other than the bottom area, neck cramps, no thank you). It was off to the side area of seats. It is okay though, did not hinder our movie experience too much.
On to the movie:
I love Robert Downey Jr. His little jokes and sarcastic witt was much enjoyable. I certainly enjoyed Don Cheadle's entrance making a brief vague statement about he is the one now for the role. Mickey Rourke was a pretty good bad guy. Scarlet Johanson is so pretty. Eye candy for the theatre go'ers. Not alot of fighting scenes, but that is okay. They spent more time on story and plot, which I enjoyed. The final battle scene was pretty awesome. Lazers and explosions galore with robot goodness.
In the end, I felt it lived up to the first one.
Also, stay after the credits ;)
I will try to throw in my own movie reviews from time to time here. Here is my rating system I will use:
Growl = bad movie
Bark = okay movie but disappointing
Paw = good movie and worth watching (like a stamp of approval, hehe)
Howl = BEST MOVIE EVER! ZOMG!
For Iron Man 2, I give it a solid:
