Rain, Recuperation, and Gardening
Well, after months of tests and doctor visits and follow-ups I had my surgery on Tuesday. Happily, not a single complication rose its ugly head during the procedure, which took about an hour. It was done laparoscopically, so there's only about five holes in my abdomen.
Okay, I kid you not, it's sore. The major incision by my navel is sore and my abdominal wall is sore where the gas used to expand the working space (har har). Sleeping has not been that great, but that's what the meds are for.
Got a nice surprise, though. My colleagues here locally got me a nice fruit basket from Edible Arrangements!
Prior to all this I had to get in some work since I am under a weight restriction, so I did the laundry, helped Hugh get all sorts of heavy stuff for the garden and the like over the weekend.
