June is Pride Month

Yup. Pride. One of the seven deadly sins, but also can be a virtue if applied properly. As in, OWN UP TO WHAT YOU ARE. Loudly. Confidently. Without apology. I am gay. Oh, yes, quite gay.

My recovery progresses apace. It is still dicey sleeping on my side, and I definitely can't sleep on my stomach yet, but I'm getting better sleep. Wednesday night saw Phoebe and Newman put aside their mutual hostility because it was cold in the house and both wanted a spot on the green blankie. We'd have gotten pictures, but we were curled up with them.

I got a wonderful present from a friend of ours, Brian Silverman. It's a recuperation gift, and it's positively adorable.

I have to say I've not been using the meds. They really don't make a difference, so I've got tons of Vicodin I'm about to pulverize and flush down the toilet. Or take to the pharmacy for disposal. No, I will not send them to you. I work for a pharmacy chain, I know what I can and can't do with it. Selling it on eBay is out, too, silly person.

Hugh and I stayed up late tonight researching old placard slogans from Gay Pride parades in the past. We're thinking of using them as part of our club's display in the upcoming Pittsburgh Parade in a week. More pictures?
