As a way to keep OGYD fun and full of insightful discussions we welcome you to our weekly G♥Song discussion, where we'll discuss the beauty, complexity, as well as the meaning of Gackt's YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz's!!! amazing music.
I'll paraphrase myself here about this song even before I knew the lyrics to it I was instantly in love. It just has a way of reaching inside and grabbing a hold of your heart and makes you want to stay positive and keep moving forward.
It's a wonderful cheerful song. I love the energy they're singing it with and the first time I saw and heared I was very happy. The only thing I missed a little was more twin vocal. I'm not that much uf a fan of singing the same tunes with two voices over longer passanges. It then feels to me like something is missing. THAT though has it's advantages: I could easily sing along with the two of them without it being too much variety of sounds :3 *lol*.
When I read the lyrics translation for the first time over at sweet excused_early's I teared up. It was one of those happy days which are constantly increasing in my life and this song with those pictures and all the energy and the smiles....it warmed my heart even more. It still does.
Do you know that feeling? The feeling like as if he/they is/are just writing the songs for you, your needs and your situation? Somehow it's wonderful if an artist or a band can write songs which make many people feel this way.
The 1st time I heard it I cried. But I think it was some kind of post-concert nostalgia not the song itself. It became an awesome energizer. Makes me smile every time I listen to it. And I do like the lyrics. Just about 5 minutes and world seems brighter.
Erm..seriously speaking, I did not cry and feel sad about this song.. I think its a song that is encouraging me and others. But I believe if I listened longer, I will definitely have different thinkings about this song, just like what oblivious had done to me... But I love the lyrics of this song, especially 'even if you hang your head and cry, nothing will change right?' Thats the best sentence for me...
WHOA-OH-OH-OH! That part is stuck in my head now. xD
I didn't understand much of the lyrics until I read Val-san's post (I completely missed Amaia-san's >.<) but what I did understand was it was another cheer-up song. And I loved it.
It manifested the new YFC's intention and delivered it awesomely.
