Do you remember the first time you heard this song?
I don't remember specifically. It would have been back around when it came out. Kalmia, while an interesting song, has neerbeen onmy list of favourites.

Do you have a special memory associated with this song?
My most vivid memory of listening to it is from when I first watch DruG Party. I remember hearing it there with the new little twists in Gackt's singing since then and having a different respect for it.

Does listening to this song enable you to see a picture or image? Does it have a story?
Kalmia has always struck me as a song of someone going insane in grief. The feeling is really creepy to me. I'm not very fond of old-fashioned dolls... and the lyrics automatically envoke that image to me. Sends shivers up my spine.

Does this song bear a special meaning for you?
Only in being the one Gackt song I skip quite often... simply because it creeps me out.

Do the translations change your opinion/thoughts about the song? If so, in what way?
The translations only further enforce my

The DruG Party performance of Kalmia was amazing. Gackt's movements and expressions as he sings it... It's very power... and very disturbing.

I like this song, those "laughs" in it are really weird though o.o but reading the lyrics makes me appreciate the melody more and I love the way he sings it <3

I'd never really thought about the lyrics until I translated it, and this wasn't one of my favorite G-songs, but...I have a whole new appreciation for it now. ;w ( ... )

Oh... It sounds so beautiful... Your interpretation....

For me it was always somehow about this guy losing his mind.... His live and everything just disappearing from him while he's watching the worlds getting that's even more insaine then he is... And I do have to say I connected it heavily with Proto (I’m always about the stories yeh! XD) too and his internal struggle and the insanity of the war and so on...

Yeah, I mean, the end of his life can also mean the end of his sanity, so that's quite interesting! :D

Wow, you really see it like a 'movie'. That's fascinating!

Yeah, it's like someone is going insane of grief. This song is crazy, absurd and creepy, but brilliant. The chords, the guitars, the meter-- (3/4 or 6/4? I don't know~ And there's always an accent off. It's pure pain, really disconcerning, but in the regularity of the refrain there is something of comfort.

I love this one.
