Keep your fingers crossed for me pple...
I have a federal court appearance tomorrow to which I am accompanying the drunk attorney in my office. I'm praying he's capable of handling the appearance because I don't want to look like an ignoramus in front of a federal district court judge.
The one thing I'm holding on to is that since the appearance is scheduled for 9:00 am, there is a more than 50% chance that the attorney will still be sober. He went to an afternoon court appearance a few weeks ago in state trial court, and started going thru withdrawal and having the shakes so the attorney who went with him HAD to take him to a bar and buy him a drink so the guy wouldn't collapse on the floor of the courthouse.
