You know, the one in Rome
There is an obelisk. Lots of dedications to, and praise of, such gods as Re and Thoth, nothing about the Christian God.
Champillon made a preliminary translation in 1828. Has no-one bothered to read it, within the intermediate 184 years, and see what it says?
Egyptian is really not that difficult to read. Certainly easier than Latin. But no-one has notice they have dedications to pagan gods outside their holiest place.
Well, religious people i guess aren't much better than astrologers.
Take a look at the night sky, a clear night, and locate the zodiac.
Locate which constellation the sun is exactly opposite to (i.e.; the one 12 hours away from the constellation it would be in at noon)
Compare it with your horoscope. The latter is almost a month out, due to precession of the equinoxes. This means no astrologer has actually bothered to check the sky in about 2000 years.
Astrolgy doesn't make quite as much money as hard drugs, or sub-prime loans, but it's of the same ilk.
