In all seriousness, I just love pronouncing everything I can in the American way. I love American English. :D
And I keep wanting to ask you - awkward! - would you mind if I used that icon once you don't use it anymore or something? (Since I didn't see you posted it anywhere up for grabs and it's my fav one of all the icons made on LJ these days out of that gorgeous pic. Including the one I tried making myself and failed miserably.) Would credit, I always do. And feel free to fuck me off and keep it jealously just for yourself. *is weird. walks away.*
Can any behavioural therapists analyse this interview? lol. kidding.........They say that people are always lying when they look down to speak. And in the first question WHICH WAS ABOUT THE STROKES, he blatantly cannot look up at the camera. wtf. He was clearly lying!! He gets very nervous when answering "Strokes getting back together" questions, and it is slightly worrying to say the least.
I have a friend who mastered reading Julian's behavior. (I would say genius minds think alike. But she says Julian took all the genius side for himself.) He just looks really tired (possibly jet-lagged) AND to quote what she said "he just cannot be bothered and his head's not at it." Very usual Julian behavior actually. And he seemed nervous and not giving a fuck to put any effort in answering any of the questions, not just Strokes ones. So I wouldn't worry about the Strokes in particular.
Btw, I personally think that whole behavioral analysis is bullshit. It's not possible for all people to act the same in the same situations. We all have our own unique behavioral ticks, so it should be studied and decoded for each person separately, recognizing their very own 'ticks' and what they mean for that particular person. But OMG OFF TOPIC.
It should be noted, though, that this is the interview done in August last year when he was in Japan. And at that time he was pretty sure at what they're doing the next. He's saying the same things he said in NME. That they're going back in the studio in September and album should be out (by that schedule) somewhere around April. This was BEFORE the whole Albert in rehab thing happened and the whole thing was put on hold.
So he was really just not into doing the interview and wanted to get the fuck out of there ASAP.
