I have this bamboo plant that I bought when I first moved back to Tampa
after she died.
Its supposed to bring good luck.
Somehow it's managed to survive these two years with little care.
The same cannot be said for my stump of a Lily plant from the funeral.
Recently the bamboo has begun to turn yellow.
Its dying.
Instead of watering it
or putting it close to the window so it can get some sun
I just leave it there in the corner.
I walk by several times a day
glance at the yellow leaves
and continue on about my business.
