The Crane Wife

I'm only two songs into the Crane Wife and it's already fucking awesome. The Island is fucking beautiful, i think i won't be let down by this album. It so far has elements of The Tain and Her Majesty and not too much of a commercial pop sound of their last release Picaresque. That's not to say i don't like picaresque, i do... i think it's a great

I like the Crane Wife, I do, but I'm still convinced it's missing something. I know Picaresque isn't a favorite of others, but I really admired Colin's songwriting on that album and I just don't think Crane Wife lives up to his songwriting ability you see on other albums. I do, however, believe the instrumentation on CW is fabulous.

Sons and Daughters is my favorite, btw.
