The Crane Wife
I'm only two songs into the Crane Wife and it's already fucking awesome. The Island is fucking beautiful, i think i won't be let down by this album. It so far has elements of The Tain and Her Majesty and not too much of a commercial pop sound of their last release Picaresque. That's not to say i don't like picaresque, i do... i think it's a great fucking album, but The Crane Wife is already living up to the alternative style of arrangements and augmented melodies, a bit progressive, a bit poppy, and all Decemberists. I'm fucking four songs in now and I'm already reviewing and critiquing it.

I also got this band "the Kooks" that kiley suggested. I like them a lot. Check em out. A little more rock and roll, but definitely influenced from psychedelic pop and classic rock and made more modern and less cheesy.
Got the new beck too, but after a couple of songs i lost interest. i'll go back to it later. probably tomorrow.
