It's the day after Christmas and I am suddenly rich. I am now the proud owner of a toaster, which is terribly exciting. I never eat sandwiches at home anymore 'cause I ahve been unable to toast the bread, but now I can toast to my little heart's content. The toaster was from my lovely sister Debby, who I promise to be more fond of in the future.
Also, I received the
Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition. I've wanted that for a long time, but could never quite afford to buy it. The Ultimate Edition is important because there were three theatrical releases of this film, and this is the only edition that had all three on it (plus, like, 85 documentaries on the film, which are all cool). I dedicated last night to watching Bogart movies, of course, 'cause it was his birthday and I felt I had to honor him properly, but today I'm watching all three versions of Dawn of the Dead and am very happy.
I don't want to imply that Christmas is all about what you get, of course. The family was somewhat lsess aggravating than I expected, and Amy was very charming, and Katy and Reed and I went out for drinks later. But the toaster and the movie were excellent.
Also, we got to break the law last night without really meaning to. More on that later, maybe. Right now I got time for nothing but zombies and maybe something to eat. Love to all!
