Well, I got a phone call this morning from Martin’s. That’s the grocery that swallowed Ukrop’s, which means that I buy my salad from them now. They want me to come in on Tuesday for a job interview. I don’t know whether it’s a union job or not, and I don’t know which position specifically they’re hiring for (I applied to work in the deli but stressed that I would take whatever they have). I don’t even know anything about the company except that when they took over Ukrop’s they left the salad bar intact, and that was clearly a wise decision. Also, the store is located in Carytown, and the idea of walking to work through Carytown every day is another definite plus. So, everybody keep your fingers crossed and I’ll report back when I have more info. Love to all.
