The Little Guy

Hunter's taken pretty well to Daycare, and it's definitely had a postive impact from what I can see.  He's bolder about trying things out, for one.  For another, we're seeing a lot more word use and effort on his part to communicate with us.

He's also starting to test us on things.  On the weekend, this took the form of dumping things out of his cart onto the floor, then staring at me to see what I'd do.  (What I did was tell him that he had to clean up his mess, and not to throw the stuff in the cart around.)  I expect he'll continue to test for the rest of his life, if he's got any bit of his grandfather's gene's in him.

Another victory is that he's now using please (or "Peez") when he asks for something.

On the other side, we're experiencing the tears and trauma's that go with his being thwarted.  I'm sure we'll all survive, but for now, if he asks for a muffin and one isn't forthcoming, it's the end of the world until he moves on to the next thing.

Here he is on the weekend, watching Daddy (that's my knee in the background) blow bubbles for him.
