Another turn of Hube's Pocket down. The Soviet's continue to make deep penetrations in an attempt to pocket the German forces. In response, the German Panzer divisions continue to strike back. My goal is to try and strip some of his manuever elements down, and put some kind of stop to his ability to operate in my rear.
I definitely feel like I'm learning a lot about the Operational Combat System (OCS), more so than I have playing Tunisia, Sicily and Burma. The scale and operational tempo on the East Front is entirely different. Here I'm deploying divisions in stacks and getting 11:1 overruns in the open. In the other games, it's a couple regiments and operating down in the 4:1 or so range.
Tomorrow, I do the draft for the fantasy baseball league I'm in. Not sure how that'll go, since I haven't managed to do a lot of prep. Still, I know enough now to not draft multiple players with the same last name...
