Frameshift - An Absense of Empathy

Fucking p0wns. This cd is amazing. Link tonight. I have a ton of homework to do...I really want to get some done today, but so far I have procrastinated. I'll probably start it in a little while. And yeah, I cursed on my livejournal. The cd is worthy of it. The demo's on the site do it no justice at all. I have few minor complaints on a few tracks, but overall...quality stuff. The other cd I bought, Matt Cash's pop rock solo album, Crash down is also very good. I've already given copies of it to Mark and Brian. It's some good stuff.

"Inside I know there's two of me
Can I conquer this duality
I try to fight this demon seed
If these walls could talk
You'd hear a piercing scream"

That's the chorus from a song about school shootings. It's a very interesting album about the story of a man, bombarded by the glorification of violence in the media, who experiences what it is like to commit acts of violence or fall victim to them. Another track, named Push the Button is about Modern War.
"One button wills a game while another Blows you away.
I can Kill with a finger
Can I Kill without eyes
I can kill on demand
Can I kill without why?" (Frameshift - An Absence of Empathy)
I think a few of the songs have moments where they stand out and you just kind of sit back and think, wow. And even if you don't exactly care for Sebastian Bach, the instrumental's are truly out of this world. Although, his voice soars higher on this album than I would ever think imaginable (for his voice anyhow) and his screaming is just ear shrilling goodness.
