In my family's house, Rock Band can be considered our religion. We analyze who is best at what, who should practice, what level we should be, how many stars we can get, and who is improving. We play hard, have fun, and are pretty awesome at it. Well, sort of. My siblings and I are all on solid mediums on our respective instruments, and can play hard on selective songs. Pointing to the heavens for Overdrive is a regular occurrence, but I've begun abstaining after Rock Band pointed out that I use it too much.
This is our thing, which we do obsessively. I just bought Rock Band 2, meaning we will be in this phase for a while until we win the entire game. We just got a Merch girl, and we're only one challenge away from getting a plane. I just bought my doppelganger a double neck bass guitar and a 12 string regular one. I am also the girl who could not learn the guitar for the life of her even though her father spent a good deal of time trying.
As we were playing, I wished we had a fourth, someone with a Rock Band guitar floating around our area who was just as obsessed with it as we were. This made me wonder, when I move, will I still have this sort of thing in my life? Will I take a RB guitar with me just in case I happen upon three other people who enjoy it as much as I do? I think I'm ready to go, but I'm still hanging on to what I have here. Something just needs to snap so that I will leave this place, but... there are a few people here that I'm not yet ready to leave.
