maybe I should have used the Valencia icon instead, but this is just so classic!

Okay, so all you La Liga fans might know that Valencia host Sevilla tomorrow. While this might seem like an ordinary match, the thing is, Saviola now plays for Sevilla, and is back from injury. And maybe Roman/Pablito is my OTP FOR LIFE, but Payaso y Conejito were my first OTP, back when I first fell in love with River Plate. The two meet tomorrow (with Valencia apparently scheduled to wear their hideous third kit, ach), and I'm hoping for some reunion vibes, even though I know Roman would probably not approve. :x

In honor of and preparation for this, I have zipped up a little three-part Pablito video clip thingy. DOWNLOAD HERE!

- Aimar goals and assists: a small smattering of his goals and assists, both at River and at Valencia. Not too flashy or even exciting (although I do love the ridiculous background music :x), but there are a couple of goal celebrations at the end that kind of illustrate just how effing adorable he is why he's known as Payasito -- the kind of silly, tongue-out, joyful shirt-tossing, forward-tumbling thing that makes me giggle a lot. And oh, there's also a gorgeous angled close-up of him at one point too.

- Aimar intro 1: I have no idea what program this was from, but it's the first part of a small Pablito "intro" thing. This first part has highlights from his early days at River, as well as very special footage of his days in Pekerman's youth teams, in the U-17 South American championship and the 1997 WYC. The quality is awful, but wee-tiny Pablito is worth it. (Plus, a few seconds of a tiny Mikey Owen as well, in one of the WYC clips.)

- Aimar intro 2: Pablito talks about the Superclasico and his teammates (HIS VOICE! ♥), including one Javier Saviola. I guess this is when I fell in love with the pairing, with all of the snuggling and clingy goal celebrations, and the way they were so young and happy and full of love for each other. I miss seeing the #7 and #10 playing together for River, I must admit, but they both had to leave sometime, I guess. Also, there's a HILARIOUS clip with Enzo Francescoli, where the Uruguayan legend is, I dunno, clinging onto Pablito's River shirt, and then Pablito comes in and Enzo leaves, and they all end up cracking up like nutcases, and WHY DO I FIND THIS SO FUNNY.

Anyway. That's my little Pablito package for today. AMUNT VALENCIA, and holy shit, if you think this is obsessive, just wait until the derby with Villarreal. I WILL GO NUTS.
