the problem with wanderlust is that I tend to fall in love with too many places at once, but Spain is powerfully magnetic, and I'm only afraid of letting myself down once I get there.

me, too. although i have never been actually dissapointed (though new york was quite different from my expectations, but in a good way). i can´t tell you about spain, being as it is my country, and though i´m not particularly fond of being spanish there are parts of it i love too much to dismiss completely; asturias & my hometown, as i still think it´s one of the most beautiful places ever, euskadi, which is somewhere raw and ancient and powerful, the elegance of barcelona, and madrid and its apparent ugliness that hides a heart of white, epic stone.

as;fjdlfkj I HAVE TOTALLY PLANNED TO GO TO GIJON, BUT ONLY IF YOU CAN BE MY TOUR GUIDE. also, yes, euskadi seems like something out of a myth. the lure of the language itself is enough. I hope to also visit Sevilla (a friend is studying abroad there) and, duh, Valencia. (please say you'll go to Las Fallas with me; I might die.)
