Don't know if anyone else has mentioned this yet, but Paul Tomkins is taking a break from all official writing because of his illness (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis). As someone who has bought and devoured three of his books, I feel more than a bit queasy about this, not only because I look up to him as a writer and as a fan, but because it comes as a veritable shock that this man is sick enough to have to give up what he loves. There aren't many heroes in the world of football journalism, but he was one of them, and it's hard to let that go.
So get well, PT, you've been wonderful.
In other news, sorry for not being around. I went to Yosemite for a week, and since then it's been a whirlwind of last-minute preparations, packing, and getting all of my visits in before I leave for Barcelona. In that vein, I get to see Maria tonight and Erika tomorrow for the Liverpool-Spurs game. >:D
