[Post 001] Video/Action Outside New Bark
[There is a series of odd, shuffling noises before the video comes on, the camera held unsteadily to capture the very crestfallen and obviously despairing face of France.]
I have died and gone to Hell.
Either that, or I am in Purgatory, awaiting the Final Judgement.
[He breathes in, closes his eyes, and drops his head, weeping quietly. It takes him a few minutes to regain control of himself.]
I do not know how I got here. I only know that I likely have no hope of escape. If I am not already mad, the background music will surely drive me so.
[A Vulpix pokes its head up underneath his chin, nudging France with its tiny nose and exclaiming Vulpix! in a concerned tone. France nuzzles it, speaking into its fur.]
You will be my sole comfort, Marianne.
[He looks back at the camera.]
I am the Republic of France, and I am in Hell.
[He bursts into tears, dropping the camera, and--presumably from the wail of Vul! from Marianne--hugs his Pokemon tightly.]
Oh, God, why have you forsaken me?!
