My last semester starts on Wednesday. I am so eager to have this experience over with. I went with Ryan a few days ago to the central administrative headquarters on campus (Pierce Hall) to pick up graduation applications and for Ryan to get grad school paperwork. Ferenginar on Earth. It was surprising a nominal fee wasn't required for using the pens. I'll receive a B.A. instead of a B.S. because I'm taking another German class.
I'm not looking forward to math, but between my dad and Ryan I should be fine. On the other hand, scuba diving and kayaking sound fun. It's ridiculous. I needed two more hours to complete my time requirements and phys ed classes are ideal for stuffing in the cracks. My scuba gear is going to be an early Christmas present from my parents, so it's a good thing I plan to pursue this in the future.
I think I'm beginning to get addicted to crochet. Thank you, YouTube. It all started with a book I borrowed from the library called Tease: 50 Inspired T-Shirt Transformations. Some of the projects were more inspired than others, but the one I found most intriguing was one for a yoga mat bag which called for cutting shirts into strips and crocheting them together. Duly I cut up an old shirt, but soon discovered it would just be easier to use some cotton yarn. The yoga bag is nearly done, I just need to do the top and attach a strap. Ryan has been helping me devise the closure (we're thinking a D ring and a--slide?--it looks like a squished figure 8).
I'm also in the middle of making a nori roll pillow for David. I've made the "filling" (pink for salmon, green for avocado, and yellow for pickled daikon) and am waiting on a trip to the fabric store this weekend for the rice and nori.
