~*Magical*~ abilities and strengths:
Let's start with chakra; the source of all ninja's super magical powers in the Naruto series. Kushina was born with a chakra potent enough to suppress the Kyuubi, and it was the main reason why she was chosen to be its second jinchuuriki. If you don't know what the Kyuubi is, it's this super strong fox demon with nine-tails. It has so much chakra and raw power that it can create storms and shit with just a whip of its tail. Apparently, Kushina's chakra was special and strong enough that she was chosen to be the host of this nine-tailed fox and keep it suppressed by using her own body.
Being the Kyuubi jinchuuriki has some advantages and drawbacks. Even when not directly accessing the Kyuubi's power the host's natural healing ability is unnatural. When using the Kyuubi's power the host's advantages include: enormous amounts of chakra, natural healing ability increased, super strength, increased feral instincts, heightened senses, speed that cannot be seen by the naked eye, an impenetrable chakra shield, and oftentimes fangs and claws. Depending on how much the host reaches in for this power, these new attributes can get really ridiculous.
Drawbacks: being hated by the village baw, and if the host uses too much of the Kyuubi's power (possessing a four tails or more) it can shorten their lifespan because of the constant destroying and creating of new cells. They lose their consciousness during this time, meaning that they are unable the tell the difference between friend or foe. Everything is a target and the jinchuuriki turns into a raging, powerful, destruction machine.
For the most part though, Kushina decides to avoid this power unless absolutely necessary.
Taijutsu
She's tough; tough enough to beat a group of bullies that called her 'Tomato' half to death when she's just a young girl, and probably tougher than a lot of females the author has written. In essence, an original badass of the series that isn't male. She's also an Uzumaki, which means she's the best not strict to a real 'style' of fighting other than pummeling her opponent every chance she gets as shown by her beat down of classmates that dare make fun of her.
Ninjutsu
At first; she sucked, but she started to develop her own special ninjutsu that suited her fighting style.
Standard ninja techs (clone, transform, replacement)- In order to graduate from the academy and become a shinobi, all students must learn and master the basic jutsu. Kushina graduated so it's pretty safe to say that she knows these techniques unless she got a ...Hokage's note or something that excused her. She probably wasn't very good at them at first either, and it took longer than average for her to master, but Kushina knows these techniques and can preform them decently, though not by any means 'perfectly.'
Chakra chains- Kushina was infamous for her beauty (even her son thinks she's hot), for her strong-will, and for her unique ninjutsu style. She prefers this method of fighting over taijutsu, mostly because it's not as violent. Her jutsu consists of chains made of Kushina's superspecialawesome chakra that can manifest from numerous places on her body, really wherever she deems APPROPRIATE B|. They shoot into the ground before they emerge nearby her opponent and wrap around their body (body parts), rendering them completely immobile. The chains look like any other, normal, everyday chains besides the glowing chakra, spikes, and they can stretch to be as long, or short, as Kushina likes upon command.
They could be used as an offensive, defensive or supplementary ninjutsu attack.
Other
Fuinjutsu- It is a type of jutsu that seals objects, living beings, chakra, you-name-it it can be sealed, in another object.
Kushina possesses a great skill and knowledge of advanced fuinjutsu due to her heritage. The Eddy's Uzumaki clan of Uzushiogakure specialized in sealing jutsus, though the processes were a bit rough. Kushina eventually passed down her knowledge onto Minato. (It's...sort of unclear as to whether or not she taught the Dead Demon Consuming seal to Minato, so let's just say she taught him for obvious reasons. She's really good at seals ;;) Her clan was feared for the power of their sealing techniques during war, to the point that they were eventually destroyed.
As a member of the Uzumaki clan, she was blessed with an exponentially stronger life-force and longer life-span than most people, to the point that her village was known as “The Village of Longevity.” Even after giving birth to her son Naruto and an extraction of a tailed beast (as well as being the only instance of a jinchuriki surviving the demon extraction) she still had the power to use her chakra chains to restrain the Kyuubi, but was severely weakened in the process. Still bamf though.
On a side note, Kushina is an excellent cook -as Minato preferred her homemade cooking over most other foods. Cooking is magical okay 8|
How would they use their abilities?: FOR GOOD. Basically. If you want me to get detailed, probably to protect her friends and family if they're ever in danger. The one thing Kushina is big on is finding peace in the world as she's searched for it since she was young. She doesn't want to pick fights that don't need to be picked, but she's not afraid to use her strength for protection.
Also she is a good cook so she will cook things for hungry people because she's nice and friendly. <3
And wants world peace.
