My frat brother sent me the most enlightening email ever and I shall present it to you now:
At work I have this electrician that does punch out work for me. He is a one of the weirdest guys I have ever met. He lives in a trailer in his mom's backyard with his mail order bride from Indonesia. Everyday he eats Ramen Noodles for lunch to save money. He works two jobs a day starting at 4 in the morning and to top it all off I think he may be mildly retarded. He should be miserable and hate his life but he is an eternal optimist. No matter what the situation is he always has something positive to say. He just left my office and on his way out he said the most profound thing I think anyone has ever said to me and I wanted to share it with you knucklepucks. We were making small talk about the weather -his heater in his truck is broken and he forget his jacket this morning- and I tell him, "Well, that really sucks Sammy-boy. Looks like it's just gonna be one of them crappy days." to which he responds, with a smile on his face, "Yeah, but the good thing about being cold is you don't have to worry about being hot." That is absolutely brilliant. Think about it.
