Well okay then.
So it's been just over a week since I got laid off, and things are going okay. I've been keeping busy, and except for a couple of days late last week when it really hit that I'd just lost my job, I've been feeling better about my life in general.
I have a couple of job leads, none of which are in my field, but they'll pay the bills, and I've filed for unemployment, so we should hopefully be okay.
On a different note, I've finally decided that it's time to go back to school for my Master's degree. Now I just have to figure out what I want to specialize in. I'm leaning more towards a linguistics in the humanities idea, because those are both fields that interest me greatly.
I have to give mad props to my LotRO guild The Red Arrows for really giving me the kick in the pants I needed to start seriously thinking about this instead of just thinking, "Well, maybe one day." Those guys are awesome. Of course, if it wasn't for Rach and Cas always being supportive, I wouldn't have had the confidence to even begin to think of it.
