was a total tourist this weekend. two friends came to visit from rome ("classes were cancelled friday, so we said, let's go to london!") and i led them around the city. i showed them big ben, parliment, westminster abbey, the thames, dustin hoffman and emma thompson (randomly on a pier on the river!!!), and we went up on the london eye (the most amazing view. (http://www.londoneye.com/) ever.) also took them pub crawling, which ended up at cheers (where everyone ALSO knows your name), then, in finchley. in zone five (aka, "all the way the f*ck out there"). we wrapped up the weekend at abbey road, almost getting hit by numerous cars and buses, and finally at the ORIGINAL HARD ROCK CAFE. YES, THE ONE WITH ERIC CLAPTON'S FENDER LEAD II. AND PETE TOWNSHEND'S GIBSON ES-335.

needless to say, i geeked out.
