After Debbie Reynolds' passing in December, I really wanted to make
tamcranver the Kathy vid she'd requested. Alas, I then ran into the huge problem that there's virtually no footage of Kathy as an individual or her own journey in the movie. (I mean, I knew there wasn't much but I was shocked to realise there's pretty much nothing - there's not even a clear, identifiable shot of her in the studio dubbing over Lina's voice ffs.) So ha, that's worth a feminist essay in itself, but the upshot was that I ended up making something much wider and a bit darker and more bittersweet than I'd intended.
So very relieved
tamcranver still seemed to enjoy it, as it strayed somewhat from the original request!
