Power. The only thing in the world nicer than toast.

One day I will learn to walk past a request for help without volunteering myself for more work. That day is not today. -_-

Which is to say, I will be helping
giandujakiss out with modly duties for
festivids this year - slightly nervous, but actually can't WAIT, because mwahahaha, the POWER. *g* I may have spent the afternoon poking around the Festivids website with my new admin powers and was surprised and amused to discover that a) I actually offer a lot more fandoms each year than most people do (I would have assumed the other way round tbh) and b) I still have very few possible matches as they're all so flipping obscure, sigh.

Oh, and by the way -
lithiumdoll is amazing, seriously. There are too few people in this world who can build a website so that people can actually use it. *bows down*

Some other random Sunday night thoughts:

  • I love Herbert Sumsion, a lot. This will mean nothing to any of you, but I felt the need to get it out there.

  • I wish I ever got vid ideas for fandoms that have one aspect ratio and stick to it. This thought brought to you by the fact that I have given up on all my unfinished multi-era Doctor Who vids for the moment in order to work on an X-Files vid - which still doesn't have a single clip on the timeline as I'm in an agony of indecision over aspect ratios. (4:3 or 16:9? Lose the action or some gorgeous composed shots, or end up with really weird unintentionally intense close ups? I CAN'T DECIDE. *weeps*)

  • Enjoying new Doctor Who, not really feeling the need to post about it, except for one thing - does anyone else really miss sneaky, manipulative Daleks? It's something of a futile wish, as they were only ever really like that in 2 David Whitaker stories of the 1960s, and there's not really room for it in a 45-minute episode, but a girl can dream... I just only really enjoy Daleks when they totally get human beings and can manipulate the hell out of them in really subtle ways, rather than the mass generic robotic evil we get these days. Oh well.
