*dusts off poor neglected journal again* (Damn it...)
Trying so, so hard not to get too excited about the recovered DW eps, but gah, it's SO HARD. I spent weeks/months convincing myself it was all just rumours like every other time before, so the actual possibility of real episodes has my head in a spin. Imagine if it was The Mythmakers! Yes, it'll probably be Episode 3 of The Space Pirates or the really racist episode of The Celestial Toymaker or something else no one particularly wants to see, but imagine if it was The Mythmakers. Or Marco Polo. Or Evil of the Daleks. Or Power of the Daleks. Or Web of Fear...
Can it just be Thursday already please?!

festivids starting soon! I really wasn't sure if I was going to sign up this year - I love it, I do, but have been terrible at finishing vids in the last year or two and am not really feeling that fannish about any small fandoms at the moment - but started leaning more towards yes once I saw the nominations came in. Glad other people were feeling more inspired than I was, as there's definitely at least 6 fandoms I want to request, and several others I feel really enthusiastic about offering.
Think I'd have to have to offer a really limited set of fandoms this year though, only a handful where I already have a strong vid idea or at least an idea of what kind of vid I want to make - which would make me feel a wee bit guilty, but better that than having the kind of slog I had to find a song last year, or worse, defaulting. So still not a total 100% certain going to sign up, but at least I've still got another couple of weeks to decide...
Am also excited to see VidUKon might become an annual thing! Was pretty sad the dates didn't work for me this year, so will make every effort if they do run one next year. :)
