I'm not sure how anyone could honestly think it's the best thing ever created; I think you've got to love it including all its flaws, as the show doesn't take itself too seriously (unlike, say, Smallville). I think 'charm' is exactly the right word for it!
I love when it acknowledges its own cheesiness or breaks the fourth wall. (Like the end of S2 when Perry and Jimmy decide they've had enough of being bit players in someone's drama and it's time they had plotlines of their own, or in S3 when Lois recovers her memory after amnesia. "My memory's still foggy, though. I'd swear at some point in the last year I was abducted by aliens...Tell me I wasn't." "Actually, it was a billionaire computer geek bent on ruling the world." "Oh. That's better."I'm actually kind of jealous of you still being in the middle of S2! You've got so much still to go. I'm currently ( ... )

Me neither but I found one site in particular that even has a very interesting essay on how everything that ever went wrong with the show was ABC's fault and never the producers'. I quite liked to read it actually. :P

Ooooh, I remember that! Must have been one of the episodes I had on tape because I haven't got there yet this time around. :P I love Perry and Jimmy! Although I must admit I'd quite warmed to S1 Jimmy and was sad when they replaced him although I only had a vague memory of him.
when Lois recovers her memory after amnesiaOH MY GOD THAT CLUSTERFUCK OF AN ARC. I can't wait to get there, the lulz are bound to be abundant. Frog-eating clone, need I say more? :DD ( ... )

Me too, I have to say I never liked the replacement Jimmy as much as the original. But I'm not sure how much that was down to the writing rather than the actor as it feels like they changed focus after the first season from an ensemble piece to It's All About Lois and Clark. I miss Lex and Kat and Perry and Jimmy actually getting decent sub-plots.

I remember watching it as a kid and getting really, really frustrated by the whole thing - clones and Wanda Detroit and amnesia for half the season - why couldn't they just get married already? But when I rewatched them all this time it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. I quite enjoyed it in a batshit insane kind of way - and Teri Hatcher is blatantly having too much fun playing the clone and 'Wanda ( ... )

I was barely a teenager, when I watched them, and sure the plots were all kinds of awkward looking back , but still, I loved the entire cast, starting with the elder Kents, to Perry and Jimmy, and of course l&c.
just a wonderful comrom show :D

And I just laughed out loud for your description of the started obsession, because this had just happened to me - I watched your vids. Then a few other Lois&Clark vids. Then I downloaded the show. And watched it in EIGHT DAYS (that's two days for a season, it's scary). And then I bought the Superman movies. And downloaded Smallville. And started on comics.
Damn, and I was happy with just my Batman obsession.
So, you know, damn you. And damn you, you stupid cute wonderful show.

Lois & Clark will do that to you, indeed it will (though eight days is both scary and impressive!) I started watching Smallville entirely because I wanted more L&C and there wasn't any, but it's just not the same, is it?
