Grrr...stupid people
Ok, think I mentioned before that I work at a mental hospital. Well, it never ceases to amaze me how many people work with sick people that just absolutely shouldn't be there. Case in point..we have a lady who just returned to our facility who had broken her hip. She is the sweetest person you have ever met, just has a few issues. Well, she needs help showering, b/c she can only walk with a cane, and would topple over. By help showering, I mean that you throw her in the chair, and turn her loose.
Well, we were told yesterday (on 3rd shift) that the nurses on first shift were supposed to take care of this. So we let them know, and went on our merry way. I was sitting in report last night, and come to find out, they were too "busy" to let this poor woman take a shower. What the fuck?
So, continuing on in the bitch saga of my job, I fired off a fun memo to the nurse coordinator this morning, and I am sure that somehow this will be our fault on 3rd, even though we had offered to do the shower in the first place, and went ahead and did it this morning to make sure she got the shower, since all the coordinators are off for Memorial Day.
Sigh...two more years of this and I'll be a nurse and out of there...
