We did indeed think about it. But it was late (about 1 a.m.), so we weren't going to do any cooking that night. And we had no way of preserving any of the meat.
No, I don't read Asterix, but I can tell it's not very realistic. That little Viking fellow should by all rights be soaked with pig blood. Unless he strangled the poor creature, which doesn't seem possible, given his puny arms.

oh katie, the whole pork chops thing is just awful. the worst, really. rest assured that this tale is from my lovely husband and not me. not that i didnt sort of think the pictures were interesting...
