Over The Hump Day
I have a sinus headache, but my throat is definitely better and I slept reasonably well last night. I woke often, but never bolt-upright awake which is more usual. I managed to get back to sleep quickly each time, and I know I dreamed a lot. I don't remember what I dreamed, but I remember dreaming.
Why am I so verklempt over a stupid cold? Because I have 42 people coming to my house on Saturday, expecting a good time. Fortunately for me, my baby lamb halfdreams and my lamb-in-law linaeloisetook will be here, as will my baby monkey calsabon. halfdreams is my caterer for this shindig, so the food is off my plate, so to speak, and that's huge. I have to spice cider and mull wine, and finish decorating. The cleaning crew is here on Friday, so they'll spiff up the place. There really isn't a heck of lot to worry about, yet I do.
Oh, yes. Saturday morning a long-time colleague of mine is being remembered at a service. I must attend. I want to attend. She was a lovely person and I liked her a lot. But I wish the service were on some other day.
