The LA Times continues to sport a serious noir boner: 20 Noir Essentials in print and film.
"Orange County noir" = Savages, by Don Winslow, which I keep seeing seemingly reviewed everywhere, but now that I go back and look, it just looks like Sarah Weinman's reviewing it everywhere, so maybe she just really really likes it.
