Some bullshit

Okay, so, here's the deal on what's happening between myself and my ex. The ex in question is James, the one I was engaged to. Apparently he is pissed off at me, for some reason - I'm assuming because he believes I cheated on him (my timing was bad, but damnit, we had broken up) and whatever other reason. All right, so, he takes with him the Dungeons & Dragons miniatures from Oxford when he leaves. I don't realize he takes them all until about a year later, because I hadn't had the need to find them until then.

The D&D minis are mine. ALL of them. They were bought by and/or for me, and whatever ones he 'acquired', they were still intending as mine, and thus, are mine. There is roughly $3k market value of miniatures that he stole. I still have the sheets of paper listing the entire set AND the stat cards for each and every mini. I made an attempt to get them back, PEACEFULLY, by contacting him. I was more than willing to pay for the shipping costs just to get them back. He made a verbal agreement three weeks ago to let me have them.

And then he stopped answering the phone. Damnit, I just want the minis. So I try to call him. He never answers. I leave him a text and a voicemail TELLING him that all I want are the minis and then I'll leave him alone.

I finally get hold of him a couple of nights ago. He tells me that if I go down to Hattiesburg to get them, he will melt them in front of me. I try to tell him that I'd be happy to pay for him to ship them up. I JUST WANT MY DAMN MINIS. Of the two of us, I am the only one who ever spent money on the things. They are mine by right. He then makes the decision that he is going to burn them anyway, then tells me that I can just burn in hell and hangs up the phone.

So now, as soon as I get back to Oxford, I have to file a police report. I spoke with the police in Tupelo, and they said that, since everything he stole is worth so much, that apparently it is a felony charge.

Add that to the fact that he is NOT in great standing in the Army, considering he hasn't been to drill in over a year, and, well, you can see where things are going to go from there.

So much for trying to do things peacefully. -_-
