Am I ready for a long weekend at home? and two crafty bits (embroidery and a bike cozy).

This is going to be an interesting weekend with Vogon around more (Friday-Tuesday was crunch time for him at work) going into the weekend and Laurel around after it. It will also be interesting because it is going to be cold (for Dallas) Thursday and Friday, then warm up so I can give my long underwear a break from being worn in lieu of being able to retain my own body heat.

I found eilonwy's package of embroidery floss hiding under some outgoing parcels and decided to break it in with a little literary homage, so I'm embroidering an illustration of Ramona Quimby sitting cross-legged with her chin on her hands (per the header on the Ramona section of Beverly Cleary's website) on a sweatshirt for Laurel. I like it so much I'm thinking about embroidering Ralph S. Mouse on a shirt next. (On his motorcycle, of course.)

The CRAFT Blog showed a Caltrain bike cozy today; I immediately thought of polyhymnia.
