Laurel got a Croc-A-Doodles kit at Christmas and tried them out on an older pair of knockoff foam clogs she had. She had some trouble with fine control with the washable paint pens and wanted the results to be brighter, so we cleaned the old clogs off and I took a couple bottles of dimensional fabric paint to them.

Now she has a flamin' set of clogs to wear around the house:
