Slowly yet surely I've been setting up things so that I can bike to/from work. My parking pass for the university expired at the end of August, and since I am in the process of either getting full time or skedaddling out of there I am contemplating just not getting one. The parking at the university has raised it's rates this semester and so maybe it's just not worth it. I don't live too far away from a park & ride and so I think I will trax and bike for the time being. I even bought a new helmet today (since previously I never used/own one). We'll see how it goes.
Paul and I have been down on ourselves about our weight lately. There was a point in time where we would go everyday and we were starting to feel really good about ourselves, and for some reason we stopped going. It seems a bit unfair of our metabolism to let us loose like 30 lbs for working out everyday for a year, but to gain 60 lbs back after 6 months of inactivity. We decided that we need to start working out so that we can be hot for our wedding. Not really a realistic goal since "hot" is arbitrary and "wedding" is in the unspecified future. My personal realistic goals is to get healthy again, as in feel like I can run to work when I'm running late and not feel like I'm dying. I feel super out of shape, and all of my "thin" clothes that I brought down to Paul's house 2 years ago don't fit anymore. Having to scavenge through my old "fat" clothes at my parent's house isn't the most enjoyable endeavor.
