Okay, 17 days into the New Years and I've finally decided I should make me some resolutions.
It's not like I was actually deliberating whether I should make actual resolutions or forego the whole resolution-making though; it just didn't occur to me that making resolutions is something I should do. So I guess it's not so much that I've "decided" to make resolutions as it me getting around to making some.
But anyway, my resolutions are:
- Write everyday - whether its in this LJ or my tacky "creativity journal" moleskine
- Read at least ten new books
I think this is all within reason. I've already finished one book for the new year, The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro.
Getting a job is not a resolution because New Years resolutions have a kind of embedded conditionality to them. You don't know if you're actually going to follow through with. Getting job can't be a conditional...'cause I need one and have to get one. End of story.
