did a flist clean up earlier today. deleted old journals that hadn't updated in months/years, moved-out-of journals, and permanently/soon-to-be abandoned journals. this was not a f-cut, though, and no one on hiatus or recently added were cut, so no worries! :)
haven't been watching the soccer (I wait until semi-finals before getting sucked in) but

1. BATMAN SERIALS. my first comic love~ I can't be specific, but basically anything in the Batman canon is just UHMAYZING <3
2. YOUNG AVENGERS, because it is awesome and has kickass ladies and canon boyfriends and nothing but Batman can beat them, and only because Batman came first.
3. Watchmen, and yes I read the comic before there were definite plans for a movie. XD Nite Owl II is my homeboy~ /smishes
4. Sandman. GUH I haven't even gotten a chance to finish the series, but it's Gaiman being fantastic and I love fantasy stuff and just lskdjf great series, REALLY NEED TO FIND THE LAST COUPLE BOOKS ALREADY GRRR.
5. Superman: Red Son because that shit blew my mind, and was a fascinating ~what if~ take on Superman. plus, it had THE BAT HAT. and everyone loves the bat hat.

1. Supernatural 5.03. ALL OF IT. every second. it helps that it was the first episode I ever saw of the show (AND WITH YOU, SURPRISE SURPRISE /COZIES)
2. The Great Brain Robbery episode of Justice League Unlimited. the whole thing is golden, but THIS SCENE. just, this scene lmfao.
3. All-Star Batman & Robin: The Boy Wonder, which is the shittiest, most hilarious comic EVER. it's brilliant because it takes itself SO SERIOUSLY while you read it and just go "OMG WHAT THE FUCK LMFAO LMFAO" over and over again. my cousins and I entertained a PARTY just by reading this comic out loud. XD
4. When Aizen became ~BUTTERFLIZEN~ all MOST (not everyone can be pleased, I suppose) of Bleach fandom crapped its pants it was laughing so hard.
5. Tallahassee and his quest for Twinkies from Zombieland. or, hell, ALL OF THAT MOVIE ( ... )

2. Batman: The Killing Joke, really dark, but really good comic, and also probably the most famous Joker story out there.
3. Batman & Son, the introduction of Damian who is the cutest little brat everrrrr.
4. Batman: Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?. Had me tearing up through the entire thing. ;o;
5. Batman: Hush, which is trippy and mind blowing and action packed and AWESOME. B)

1. Young Avengers #1 because I can't get over my Young Avengers obsession, okay, I JUST CAN'T LMFAO. and I'm sure #1 isn't the best, but it's the beginning of something great, AND I AM A CHEESEBALL, WHAT OF IT /FLAIL
2. All-Star Batman & Robin: The Boy Wonder #whichever one had the "Goddamn Batman Line" because you know why
3. Batman #618, the second-to-last issue of the Hush storyline, where Bruce takes on Jason, and it's all kinds of intense and action packed.
4. Detective Comics #853, the second half of the "Whatever Happened to the Caped Crusader?" story. the last couple pages made me burst out crying the first couple times I read through it, and even now it makes me all teary-eyed. I shouldn't be surprised, since it is Neil Gaiman, after all.
5. Young Avengers Presents #3, because it's got Billy/Teddy adorableness and some spotlight on Billy and Tommy as brothers, which are both so rare. :C ( ... )
