Summary: Hibiki is having trouble concentrating on his ice cream cone.
Author Notes: I also lost the fic guessing game to lukecho, and she wanted some Lyra/Gold fluff about them eating ice cream. I've changed the names here to Kotone and Hibiki, because Gold is (as pointed out to me by chuuni) actually a different character, and the English names are just kind of eh for me. Gold/Silver is still what I'll call Hibiki/Rival and if I get around to writing Kotone/Rival it'll be Kotone/Silver because.. well, Rival is an inconvenient name for fic writing and I am STUBBORN, so there.
Frozen Treats
Hibiki tried to focus on his own ice cream cone -- which was cookies 'n cream, his favorite -- but he couldn't stop his eyes from darting over to the girl next to him. If he hadn't been with her when she'd ordered it, he wouldn't have any idea that she was lapping at rapidly-melting mint-chocolate chip. All he could really see was her tongue and lips and the briefest flash of teeth as she worked on her cold treat. Suddenly her lips were no longer on her ice cream and were moving like she was speaking, and it took him a moment to realize she was speaking to him.
"Uh, w-what? I mean, sorry, I didn't h-hear you."
"... Yours is melting," Kotone said, sounding like she'd told him the same thing a couple times and was growing tired of repeating herself. He glanced down at his own cone and realized most of the actual ice cream was melting down his hand or had melted onto his knee.
"Uh. Right."
Kotone stared at him for a moment before giggling and Hibiki felt the ice cream melting in his hand even faster than before.
