whenever we go to visit our daughter-in-law's family in Rochester, NY (usually around Xmas), we see a Tim Horton's listed as the food concession in one of the rest stops along I-90. but we're always in a screaming hurry, with no time to stop.
i note that there are a few Tim's in NYC. specifically, there's one in Penn Station - and there's also a Krispy Kreme in Penn Station. the next time i have enough money for a train into the city, i can comparison-shop the two kinds of doughnuts ;-D
well, Buffalo is very close to the Canadian border (Niagara Falls). and Rochester is just across Lake Ontario - for a while, there was a ferry between Rochester and Toronto. when my son and daughter-in-law go to her family's place, they quite often go to Toronto or Ottawa, or to the wineries in the Niagara area. (mmm, icewine!)
when i handfasted twfarlan and valkyrwench, i filled the cup with icewine... "it's rare, unusual, and sweet, just like your love..." ;-D (sparkling icewine would have been even more appropriate!)
