Today, I got into and purchased SIZE 14 jeans!!! I haven't fit into a 14 since high school. I am officially now on the LOSING SIDE!!!
My surgery was performed Tuesday June 13th, 2006 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Pittsburgh Pa. 
The surgery went off without a hitch, and other than a real BITCH in the PACU unit (aka Recovery Room), the hospital stay was not bad at all. The unit itself was awesomely ran, and a lot of the staff working there ( Read more... )

Tonight I go for the CPAP Titration sleep study. The surgeon doing the gastric bypass decided that he wants me to have the study and then get the CPAP machine and be used to it for post op. They said that I would heal faster? Not sure on this. Does anyone else have to have a CPAP to sleep and what can you tell me about them? I am going to get ( Read more... )

On Tuesday, I went up to the St Thomas Psychatric Ward for my psych consult. I was working with a gal who is doing her externship and had to take my results to the head of the unit to concur with her thoughts before an official decision. I went a week ago and got bloodwork done. A fasting Thyroid and cholesterol and then the regular workup that you usually get when you get bloodwork done. The cholesterol came back high and the thyroid came back low. So, the hospital said I needed to talk to my family doctor about the thyroid problem.
