I'm working almost everyday as a waitress at La'Le Mediterranean Bistro in downtown Dothan. I really like it. It's a quaint,little place with a cool feel to it. The food is pretty delicious too! The owners are Turkish, as well as one of the cooks. All the other servers and the rest of staff are around my age. They're all really different types of people, weird in a good way I'd say. I have so much fun with everybody, lots of laughs. About half of them are gay, but it doesn't bother me. Also, one of our cashiers is from Ukraine. I wish this job was in Mobile because I'm really gunna miss everybody.
Ryan and I spend everyday together and have super fun! We went to Destin two weekends ago cuz he had to work at Kirkland's but that meant free hotel and food which is awesome! While he worked, I went to the beach and shopped. They had these eclectic shops on Okaloosa Island, lots of antique, vintage, and tattoo shops. He had Sunday off so we got to spend that together. I made an incredibly sexy sand castle with an octopus guarding the entrance;I bought one of those little sand kits in the white carry cases. Heather's boyfriend Ashley now is the store manager of Kirkland's in Destin which is fantastic! They've already moved down there. So we hung out a bit while we were there. Usually Ryan and I just hang out at eachother's houses. Sometimes we like to have photo shoots, don't get any dirty ideas, our photos involve being clothed of course. We bought some cane poles and went fishing one day on the Chatahoochie: "Way down yonder by the Chatahoochie, where it gets hotter than a hoochie coochie." We went to the Botanical Gardens here one day, they have plans to add a lot of things, it's going to be really neat in a few years. But it was still really pretty and they had some interesting plants and flowers. We usually try and go out to eat at least once every other week which is nice. His family is having a barbecue tomorrow so that'll be fun. I really like his family.
I'm taking a class here at TSUD, it's Marketing. I don't like it, the teacher doesn't really teach and two hours is a long time to sit there and listen to his stories about work experiences he's had. We had our mid-term, it was four discussion questions and open-book which was really good. Without it being open-book I definitely would've bombed.
Leigh left for Kansas city about two weeks ago, but we hung out a few times which made me happy. I went "out" for the first time this summer, with Melissa to this bar called Oscar's in Enterprise. It was actually pretty cool. It was big, three seperate areas with bars in each and an outdoor tiki bar area. They had a live band too. I met the guy she's dating, Sean and I really liked him, much better than the last guy. Oh and I got asked out by this guy with a daughter, hard to pass up guys with kids. I wish Ryan liked going out to bars and clubs, cuz I really like going out once in awhile. He'll go to parties with me, but most of my friends live at home with their parents so parties are rare.
I miss Spring Hill and friends from there alredy! I am going to go to Mobile to visit Ashley and others soon. Plus, I really wanna go to New Orleans and visit Rachael! I'm soooo incredibly excited to be living with Sarah, Lynsey, and Rachael next year!
Most importantly, My Dad got a JOB! He will be the Marketing Development Manager for a company called Treddegar in Richmond, VA. Off the family goes again, this time to Virginia. It doesn't really affect me much since I'll be at school in Mobile. My sister is pretty upset though cuz it's her senior year in some new place. We've talked a lot about it and I know she'll be fine, but I still feel for her.
