Goodbyes are not forever most of the time

North Carolina was wonderful! It was so great to see Sam and spend Friday-Monday with her. Catching up with good friends is one of my favorite things. We didn't do anything spectacular seeing as how she lives in a town equally as exciting as Dothan, but we still had fun. And wow does she live in a beautiful place, the mountains are gorgeous. If the weather was nicer we were planning on floating down the river. Instead we went to the movies, bowling, and shopping downtown.

I leave in three days for Rhode Island and it feels unreal. It always seems to sneak up on me. Also, I don't get excited until the day I leave. In fact before I leave I kind of don't even want to go. I talk about how much I love Fuller all year long, but once it's time to leave I don't want to say goodbye to my regular life. Plus, I always have this thought in the back of my mind: what if this summer's different and I have a horrible time, but I always have a fantastic time. Perhaps that's why I have been going since I was 10. I have so much to get done in the next three days and really I don't want to do any of it except spend time with my friends and family.

Lisa and I spent quality time together last night and it made me happy. We had a movie night: watched Be Cool and Alfie. Then we chatted for a long time. We decided that when we grow up our families will either live very close to one another and if that isn't possible that we will visit often and go on family vacations together. I want our children to grow up together. There are these huge, gorgeous 4 houses on a coldesac(sp??) in Mobile and all of the owners are sisters and I think that is awesome.

I really have enjoyed this summer so far to a great extent:

Mary's Party
Montgomery for the Jubilee CityFest w/ Heather
Beach w/ Melissa (most of it)
Melissa intoxicated for the first time
Beach w/ Leigh
Mobile trip w/ Ryan
Darkside
Star Wars w/ Emily
Leigh's first drink of alcohol
Visiting Sam in NC
Quality time with Emily, Leigh, Melissa, Jeffrey, Heather, Mary and Ryan; seperately or together.
Rewired Coffee
Seeing Anna P for the first time in a long time and catching up
Jeffrey's 21st B-day
Breaking the law by swinging at the park past closing time.
Swim lessons for two great little girls.
Car rides.

All these good times are a big part of why I don't want to leave.

By the way, my Dad went on an interview in Chicago on Monday. He has another one for a different company in Chicago in 2 weeks. It is 99% positive my family will be moving.

Time to lay out in the beautiful sun. What a gorgeous day, yay!
