Hi.
Yeah, I know it's been quite some time since I've written in here. I'm doing alright. Still lonely, but I expect that nowadays.
Let's see...I had my first paid vacation from Feb. 1st-5th. The first day, I cleaned up the apartment. The rest, I spent lounging around and catching up on all the DVR'd shows I saved. I only heard from Dale and Aaron from Outback the whole time. I thought no one really cared about me since I didn't even get texts or anything the whole time. I walked back in from having 5 days off, and Bees grabbed me, picked me up, and hugged the hell out of me. She really missed me.
For my birthday this year it was decided that some friends would go out with me on Sunday night into Monday, and the rest would go out on Monday night. Sunday night were at Greengarden and it was Ashley A, Steve, Aaron, Josh, Lisa C, Nick, and Brenden. It was a quiet night except for the one guy who broke the poolstick and wanted to start a fight. Otherwise, we were all pretty happy. I didn't drink much 4 drinks and 4 shots. It was a nice core group of friends.
My birthday was on Monday. It started out with my 1st serving shift by myself. The night started off horrible as I got double sat and the one table was 3 ladies just wanting one round of drinks. On top of that, they wanted drinks that technically we couldn't make anymore. Then, because they really wanted to fry my buttons, the one lady asked me what our darkest beer was besides Guinness. Complete brain fart. Well 1) I don't drink beer, and 2) I could care less what color a beer is. So I pulled Sam Adams from my butt and Coopers Stout. She wanted Winter Lager, so I said fine. Then I got the dumbest question I've ever gotten at the restaurant: You don't serve peanuts or pretzels do you? I wanted so bad to say, "I'm sorry, we're not Texas Roadhouse....go there for peanuts." My other table was a bit upset at the current table because they kept asking questions. When I was finally able to greet my other table, I found out they were kinda in a hurry. But they were the sweetest old couple you could ever meet. They had been married for 44 years. God bless you both. They only got sandwiches, but they tipped me 20%. The drinking ladies left me $3.00 on their round of drinks. My father, Rick then came in. Jenna wasn't far behind, and they ended up sitting together so Rick could play with Callum and Kyan. It was an easy table, with the great tip from Rick. My final table of the night was Stacy and her husband from Erie Heights at the Housing Authority. Yeah, my reaction too. How come I have to wait on ex-bosses? However, it went smoothly enough and she tipped me well. So four tables all night equalled $124 in sales, and I walked with $31.00. Not bad, not bad. Especially for only 3 hours.
After my serving shift, it was time to celebrate the birthday. I went over to the Fox. Curt and Herb were already there. I hurriedly ate something, because I just had this gut feeling I was going to drink alot. Sure enough, that proved to be true. Between 15-17 Outbackers showed up in the next 2 hours. All my bestest of friends came. We had the entire bar to ourselves. Chelsea was the bartender and we had her running all night. I know she had to make some decent bank off of us. Every 10-15 minutes someone would ask me if I would like a shot. I was pretty much two-fisting it all night. If you all didn't know, it's pretty hard to buy me shots, because I like sweet good tasting ones. Not the straight alcohol that most people take. Shots included: Five Alive, Hawaiian Punch, Pineapple Upside Cake, Washington Apples, Buttery Nipples, Purple Hooters, Swedish Fish, and Goose and Apple Puckers. What a night! The drinks and the shots never stopped coming. At one point, I was starting to say goodbye to everyone, and Mary came up to me with another drink. Everyone got a good kick out of that. Don't worry, it was decided around 1:45am that I was in no condition to drive. Dale took me home to my apartment. We ended up sitting outside and talking for almost an hour. The next day, I woke up with a headache, but that was about it. I don't know how I wasn't praying to the porcelin goddess. Dale picked me up in the early afternoon and thankfully took me back up to the fox so I could get my car.
Apparently, my party was the talk of the Outback Tuesday afternoon. Luckily, I had off because I was really in no condition to work. Bees said she was pretty impressed with the group of Outbackers that went out because they aren't the normal group that would hang out. What can I say, I have friends from all groups in life. Umm, let's see if I can name them all. Curt, Herb, Rebeca, Blaine, Dale, Mary, Mark, Amanda S, Brittany, Eva, Dave, Aaron, Lisa C, James, myself, and Josh. I might even be missing a couple. Mom took me out to TGIFridays Tuesday night for my bday dinner. Dummy me had an drink there as well. You'd think I would learn by now. Dinner was good, but the service kinda sucked. The girl was running like a 6-7 table section. We only saw her once after she delivered our drinks and took our order...when the food came. Mom left 15%. Gotta take better care of me. not my fault if you can't handle that many tables.
So, next week on my days off, I'm going to use one of my bday presents from Mom and Rick. They each got me a free 60 minute massage for Erie Massage Therapy Center. Then Rick wants to take me out for my bday dinner with him. Now I have to decide where I want to go. Any suggestions??
For the first time in over 5 years, I made a birthday wish and it came true. I had an awesome birthday, and I got to share it with an awesome group of friends. My birthday would have been totally complete if I had a boyfriend. *sigh* Maybe someday........
