Just In Case You Didn't Know

Okay for all you people out there in apartments that have gas stoves with electric ignitors...

If you happen to lose your power, and you start to get cold because the heat doesn't work...DO NOT, and I repeat DO NOT turn up the pilot lights on your gas stove/oven so you have at least one room that is warm. When the electric kicks back on, it will kick the ignitor and send a jolt to it. This in turn will cause whatever fire is going to flare up. Possibly catching whatever is around that oven on fire.

I have some very dumb people that call in.

Anyways, yesterday there was a car accident that happened to knock out the power to the Harbor Homes development. Not really a big deal. Once and awhile it happens. This was not like the ice storm that knocked out power for over 24 hours. The power was only out 4 hours. I'm not kidding you, a tenant called in and said that the fire under her stove caught other things on fire. She told me she turned up the pilots on her stove so she wouldn't get cold. ARE YOU SERIOUS??? PUT ON A DAMN JACKET AND BLANKET!! It's safer!
